| 이 강의는 현대사회에서 큰 비중을 차지하는 행정의 중요성과 역할에 대한 이해를 기본 목적으로 크게 두 부분으로 나누어진다. 먼저 행정의 개념과 행정가치, 행정학의 배경 및 주요이론 등 행정학의 기초적인 내용을 소개한다. 다음으로 현대사회에서의 행정과 정부의 역할에 대한 논의를 세계화, 지방분권, 복지, 전자정부, 지속가능한 성장 등의 주제와 연결시켜 이해하고자 한다. | ||
| This course is designed to introduce students to government and policy, to the basics of policy administration, and to the substance of some of today’s major policy debates. The first half of the course focuses on foundational material in public administration. We will begin by examining the history and development of the field of public administration. Having laid this foundation, we will then examine several theoretical approaches to studying public administration. The second half turns to a variety of contemporary topics related both to theory and practice in public administration, while paying attention to current debates in globalization, local autonomy, welfare, E-government, and sustainable growth. | ||

| The course is designed to acquaint students with key concepts and theoretical frameworks to publicness and governance. The objectives of this course are to develop a comprehensive understanding of public values and to examine the public sector of Korea in comparative perspective. Students will also be asked to understand how the mechanisms of governance influence the changing nature of government, including the reordering of relationships between state, market and civil society, in terms of a variety of disciplinary approaches. | ||

| Public services is a term usually used to mean services provided by government to its citizens, either directly (through the public sector) or by financing private provision of services. The term is associated with a social consensus (usually expressed through democratic elections) that certain services should be available to all, regardless of income. Even where public services are neither publicly provided nor publicly financed, for social and political reasons they are usually subject to regulation going beyond that applying to most economic sectors. Public services is also a course that can be studied at college and/or university. These courses can lead entry in to the: police, ambulance and fire services. | ||

| This course introduces comparative administration theories and approaches from the viewpoint of international development cooperation and explores implications for us by comparing the administrative systems of major developed and developing countries with the administrative system of Korea. To understand the overall flow of comparative administration and to derive policy implications for the development of Korean administration through comparative analysis with other countries. | For the purpose of supporting local governments for smooth local administration, the Local Administration Bureau carries out various measures: promoting decentralization, designing an ideal local administration system, improving the existing local administration system, positively promoting municipal mergers, developing a network system for Basic Resident Registers, encouraging regional revitalization, promoting the regional IT revolution, promoting regional internationalization, and establishing and improving the local public service personnel system. Urban administration is a synthetic study that covers most social studies to manage complicated cities. Urban administration is wider than public administration.
